TV coverage of St. Mary Organ Concert

St. Mary was again on TV. NetTV the Brooklyn Diocese TV channel 97 videotaped our April 18, 2010 Orchestral Organ Transcription Concert.


Mr. Michael Xavier Lundy returned to St. Mary to perform this concert for over 100 attendees. This talented young musician performed many familiar Orchestral compositions on our pipe organ as many people originally heard them when our historic pipe organ was installed in 1894 - on a pipe organ.



Attendees learned about our pipe oragan and were invited to come to the organ loft during the intermission to look into the Bell Tower and see some of the pipe organ parts. They also came to the Organ Console (where the organist plays the instrument) and asked many questions.

Several young people in attendance blew into some of the original 1894 pipes. In 1965 these pipes were replaced by other pipes. Our 1894 Midmer pipe organ was interfaced with a Rodgers digital organ in 2002.
