A New Liturgy - For a New Translation -Messa Santa Maria (Mass for St. Mary) – Created in honor of our Lord’s mother and our patron saint, Mr. Vogel is creating a setting of the Ordinary of the Mass (sung parts of the mass) for our use. The setting uses our traditional Gregorian Chants.
He is using the new translation of the Missal authorized by Popes John Paul II
and Benedict XVI. 
We have learned the Lord Have Mercy and Lamb of God, whose text have not changed and began using them in August.
We will continue learning this setting of the Ordinary for the texts which have not changed, moving back from the Lamb of God.
Then with the Bishop’s permission, we will begin to learn those musical parts of the mass that have changed. This will allow us to offer more prayerfully the spoken parts of the mass, when they are authorized to begin - Advent I - November 27, 2011.
You have heard "This is a requested hymn" when we sing a hymn that has been requested via the bulletin request form. Singing the traditional Gregorian chant setting has been requested numerous times. Some of the melodies may already be familiar to you.
